The Indiana Department of Education has announced that the GSHS Graduation rate was 97.6% ! This was mistakenly misreported by a local television station that mixed up their Gibson County schools. Visit the IDoE here to see the rates for all schools.
South Gibson School Corporation is proud to announce that South Gibson School Corporation, Gibson Southern High School, Haubstadt Community School, and Owensville Community School all received an "A" Rating from the State Board of Education!
The purpose of the Indiana Reading Evaluation And Determination (IREAD-3) assessment is to measure foundational reading standards through grade three. Based on the Indiana Academic Standards, IREAD-3 is a summative assessment that was developed in accordance with Public Law 109 which "requires the evaluation of reading skills for students who are in grade three beginning in the Spring of 2012 to ensure that all students can read proficiently before moving on to grade four."

When possible, we use School Messenger (phone calling system) for school delays, cancellations, and early dismissals due to weather conditions. We will not have it call all four numbers as an emergency call. It will be sent out as a general call and it will contact the first number in the contact information. We will still continue to contact media for the announcement. Check Facebook for delay and cancellation notices.
