Registration for all students attending Haubstadt Community School will be
Monday, August 4, 2014 in the HCS front lobby.
Parents of students who will be attending HCS are to report to school, during any of the
registration times listed below, to enroll their child for the 2014-2015 school year.
8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Parents will fill out enrollment and emergency procedure papers during this enrollment time. Make sure that you can give school officials a telephone number and the names of the persons to contact in case of emergency, your physical address along with your mailing address, and student’s social security number. The doctor’s address and telephone number, plus hospital preferences, are also requested. Please bring a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate with you if your child is enrolling at HCS for the first time.
Fees will be collected for textbook book rental, consumable materials, and projects. Approximate fee totals will be available on the school website (www.sgibson.k12.in.us) at the beginning of August. Exact book fee totals will not be available until registration day. A payment schedule will be made up for any patrons who are unable to pay on registration day.
Free and reduced lunch program information/applications along with additional school information will be given to parents on registration day.
Anyone needing additional information about enrollment procedures, etc. may call the school office at (812) 768-6487 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily beginning on July 28, 2014.
School officially begins for all students on Monday, August 11, 2014. The start time for students at HCS is 8:03 a.m.

Indiana State Department of Health Immunization Requirements 2013-2014
The purpose of the Indiana Reading Evaluation And Determination (IREAD-3) assessment is to measure foundational reading standards through grade three. Based on the Indiana Academic Standards, IREAD-3 is a summative assessment that was developed in accordance with Public Law 109 which "requires the evaluation of reading skills for students who are in grade three beginning in the Spring of 2012 to ensure that all students can read proficiently before moving on to grade four."

The Haubstadt Community School Continuous Improvement Committee will ensure
improvement through developing goals and a plan of action in order to comply
with State requirements as stated in Public Law 221, to improve student
performance and to accomplish school aims.
Through upcoming technology and tech training in South Gibson School
Corporation, Haubstadt Community School has high expectations for the
